Selection of Processless CTP Plate

The Processless CTP plate refers to a CTP plate that can be mounted on printing machine without chemical development after the exposure process is completed. With Processless CTP plate, users can save cost on chemical solution, processor, water, electricity, labor and others. 

The biggest challenge for printing companies to use Processless CTP plates is the adaptability of the plate. Chemicals used by printing companies, such as cleaning solution, dampening solution and alcohol come from different brands and made of different compositions; Additionly, the maintenance status and working status of printing units vary widely, plus different types of inks and papers. Maintaining consistent plate performance in such complex environment is an important indicator for quality of the plate. Therefore, it's better to do some test jobs before choosing the Processless CTP plate. In addition to paying attention to the dot reduction and the printing durability of the conventional CTP plates, the trial process also needs to focus on the dot on the printed plate. In actual production, we often find that CTP plates will have a certain percentage of dot loss from prepress to printing. Although this part of the loss is not large, it is still very important for the bright area of the image. The dot loss between different brands of plate is different. It must be focused during testing and horizontally compared.
